aloha karl,

i think the kansas city group had an erratta for cavalry. allowing them a movement allowence of 'five'. did anyone try this?

i have the game set up as we speek but it's the old spi version with homemade counters and map changes to allow play as 'war in the world' (european theater). you know, afv's, aircraft, supply, engineers, etc.

Subject: [WarInEur] Quiet?

Well, one reason it is quiet is there really isn't much to discuss.

There seem to be two groups (Classes?) here, the "Germans can do anything they want" and my (Minority?) opinion that the      is best used as a guided tour (experience) of some of the strategic aspects of WW II in Europe.

And I just don't seem to be able to get any traction or help for my efforts to make it a better experience for the Soviet Player.  No fix for the Rusian Cavalry, (Hey, if it is a Historical      , where are they?).  Forget more subtle things like a zippier Russian offenseive potential.

And there is the Atrrtion/Board Game split.

While Desicion seems to have some interest in reprinting the board game (Is there anyone on this list who has set up and played the boardgame in the last couple of years?), I have seen no interest in using the computer      to test drive potential changes to the boardgame counter mix.  So we will probably still be stuck with a reissue with the same old cartoon 1974      of the Soviet Army.
