There is a certain attractiveness to this idea...

But some practical issues with implementation...

1.The French deployment 'assumes' the British on the left wing?
2.How does the French (fixed) deployment deal with the gap where the 
British might be positioned? Before they arrive, and a possible early 
German attack...

3.If the French deployment gives a balanced stndpoint how do we insert 
the British into the line? since there is no gap and the british may not 
co-stack

The rule may need a certain complex plasticity to keep the French 
somewhat fixed...avoiding a gaming exploit...
