[WarInEur] {Disarmed} Testing

Jim, most features of the game have been tested extensively. However, no one has had the opportunity to test a game from beginning to end. We have used the various campaigns as start points to see how different years would play out but I'm not that sure how accurate they are as a start point. The good thing is that we can access a good part of the various charts etc and edit them for use in the game. This allows us to tweak the game if we see the balance is out of wack. Best of all the game will be fully supported, so if we discover a bug that was missed during testing we will be able to fix it. In addition we are already compiling Lists of additional features and Options we'd like to see added. We won't be able to add scripts and interject our own house rules but I think we have developed a pretty flexible platform.

I have not had the opportunity to play a game from beginning to end to test the end game. What we are finding is that when the rules are coded correctly (not all were in the DOS version that things like the SB campaign may cause an early economic collapse.

How many have actually tested this new CWIE2 from beginning to end? I have one game ongoing and have ordered the new version but when I looked at the previous emails it appears to be really untested in Russia.

This is not an atypical problem since SPI was unable to test Russia either. But with computers I am in interested in this boards progress.

  Jim
