They are using the attrition option, that is why strengths are low, my guess is the west wall +2 is added to the 6-5 strengths,

I have a couple of questions about the display. Why are the French units shown with strength factors of 0 and 1 when their printed strength is much higher? Why do some German infantry divisions show a strength of 8 when their printed value is 6 and they don't appear to be stacked?
