The Soviets need some new defense strategies because the attrition option reduces the effectiveness of the traditional retreat.? I'm not saying the Soviet border divisions shouldn't retreat but it does make you think twice about whether you get?more utility from leaving that stack of 1-4s in?place.? 1. Take your (non Siberian) reinforcements as?far east as possible.? They will be up to?full strength by the time the German army arrives.
2.? Spend some production on?forces that don't take long to produce that can screen the 4-4s arriving later in '41?from the attacking Germans and give those?corps time to train up to full strength.
Lets see how the upcoming battle unfolds.
And? now?questions - How are the fortified units and AT units affected by attrition???????
Does the system display the eroded supply range of an MSU?

Interesting concepts.?

Very true (ask the French Commander this).?

True, but there is a counter to this in the campaign game (not telling right now, don't want to spoil it, it's not a cheat it's something one can discover if they have read enough on mech warfare and studied the attrition model a bit).?

Crust defenses are easy to break with attrition.?

This is what Steve and I will test soon.?

As Steve has said we shall see.?
