Well you are looking at a totally different timescale and predictability now,
effectively the game is passing from the team who did the design,
to the production and marketing gurus,
who operate the business side of things.

I know what immense work has been done on this side,
with all the testers,
the coding,
bug fixing,
conceptualising
ec etc.

But that is largely in the bag now...

(I am excessively cautious in that regard)
So long as the vehicle is still in the Formula 1 racing pits,
because it is sitting right in front of us,
the temptation to tune and tweak is irresistable.

i.e.We are not now the governing influence

Production track slots and release dates never directly concerned us.(I had
enough on my plate for example)

We can give a qualified yes to the qn, is the product ready?
The next step...
Depends on other considerations,
packaging, distribution, stocks etc etc.
Which is a ballgame left to professionals.

Rather like designing an aircraft...

We can get most of it right,
and feel confident...

The Spitfire Mk II at Castle Bromwich. situation....

The designers had done their part...the physicalities of production were an
issue not directly in their control.

But in reading this answer, you can tell that the timescale stretching out
ahead of us is not what has been there before.

For an irreverent look at this try this youtube comment on another game

It sums up how everyone feels on a new game making its imminent debut...
