[WarInEur] Attrition in BWIE

Greetings all,
  I've been reading some of the discussions on the list about the use of attrition in CWIE.  While some of it would be impossible to accomplish in the board version, battle losses would seem to be fairly easy.  Having numerous "loss markers" from other games, it is not difficult to make "EXCHANGE" losses exact, strength point for strength point.  But then, replacement points have a different numerical value.  For an infantry unit to go from BG to Full ONE REPL might actually be SIX strength points.  Has anyone tried anything like this in the board version.
   
  Also ... has anyone developed some sort of variable weather system.  Totally predicatable weather seems to take some of the intrigue out of the game.
