but...
2.NTPs are not used for landings amphibs are, so this should not affect the  
landing capability.
 
Where the NTPs will be 'crimped'  is with freedom to strategic deploy  forces 
to and from the middle east where such NTPs are at a premium and  cycle-long 
commitments would have to be thought of carefully...
