IIRC, the last "Days of Decision" indicated that 
1) pre-orders were being converted back to pledges, with corresponding
reduction in cost; and
2) publication was forcast for September 2008.

So apparently they are both recognizing a delay and showing an
admirable determination not to publish until the game works properly!
