In recent testing some have raised some valid issues questioning some
aspects of the new beta test game.

1.Several gamers have tested the waters of the attritional model,
and at first have taken a dislike to it.
2.Others have found it an unnerving experience, but transitioned to
it after some acclimatisation
3.Some have actually concluded that they prefer it, adding a useful
twist to an otherwise "tapped out" model.
i.e. the game offers what it always did.

Whilst the game now looks seriously diferent, the fundamentals apart
from the attritional option are all broadly the same.
Meanwhile the game is now operational outside the pure windows format,
so does offer some prospect of
future proofing in that regard, and enabling the game to operate in a
cross platform mode.

In Linux the product would seem to operate as a game fairly well, the
only parts requiring some tweaking now work appear to be the email
routines, as they are not naturally completely automatic, inso far as we
many now enjoy under windows. But I suspect that this particular glitch
mkay have its own workarounds.

 In addition,
with the birth of new emulation modes from various systems (DOSemu ,
Wine etc etc) there are now prospects of many of these
games being operational "far from home", where they originally surfaced.

As regards the orginial CWIE, returning to it after some absence the
stark, almost minimalist interface came as a sever jolt to the system.
The current product under development gives a much wider field of
view, the older product feeling suddenly almost claustrophobic
in comparison.

But such sensations soon pass.
