There are a number of Hot keys and key combinations that speed the game
process.
There are six hot keys controling map hex displays
They are:
C for hex control
S for hex supply
G for hex grid outline
O for orders
Z for ZOC
U for Units
pressing the key while displaying a map will cause hidden information to
display or if already displayed revert to hidden. Example- the map
normally shows the units stacked on the map, but if you press the U key they
will all disappear so you can better see the map terrain features. Pressing
the U key again will cause the units to reappear.
Some information is exclusive. I.E. you can't display hex Control, Supply,
or ZOC info at the same time. Units, Grids, and Orders can be displayed in
any combination.
Mouse buttons can also be used to access hidden routines.
A double tap with the right mouse button brings up the orders popup an
allows you to set retreat orders. This can be accessed even during the air
phase by going to a map view and setting retreat orders. I.E. the Poles
don't have to go down in two turns if you set retreat orders during the
first Allied air phase.
Holding down the shift key while clicking on a hex with the right mouse
button will rotate the order of units in a hex and change which unit is
displayed on top of a stack
Holding down the shift key while clicking on the end of phase button while
bring up a dialgoe box asking you to confirm that you want to ship the
remaining phases in a turn.
Simultaneously holding down the shift key and the ctrl key while clicking on
the end of phase button will bring up a dialogue box asking if you want to
ship to the next production cycle.
The T key is used during a movement phase to set destination points for
units. (Not yet completely functional).
hexes which contail units which can move or engage in combat during a phase
will be highlighted until they have fought or no further movement is
possible.
Hope this helps
