No. It is <likely> that the game will end in a decisive Axis victory. The
War in the East is still to be won! And when Japan inevitably falls foul of
the US, Adolph will declare war in support of her Axis partner, thus
allowing the US to supply the last bastion of the war against Germany -
RUSSIA - without having to worry about that pesky Churchill chappie....

(And Pearl Harbour won't happen because there would be no use sinking 6 US
battleships when the <still substantial> remnants of the British Navy are
now a part of the <now> gigantic US Fleet.)

Sorry, I want to fight it out thanks...

regards,
Noel

As a victim of one such event (a successful sealion in progress)

I am thinking, this would make an ideal game breaking position.

I theorise thus.

If the UK falls and surrenders at anytime prior to the US entry into the
War, the game ends in a decisive Axis victory.

US involvement in the war subsequent to this date would result in an
exclusive concentration on the Japanses theater, with the US withdrawing
from the North Atlantic, freeing up forces for the Pacific, as escorts
and covering forces are no longer required, merely such forces as are
needing to be detailed to deter in the East Coast, there being no
practical way that the Germans could stage landings that could threaten
the US at this stage in the game.

An early German breakpoint, makes for a convenient point to wrap up a
game, and hol,d out the prospect of blitz and lightning victory, as
predicated by the German theorey of warfare.

A useful point for an ambitious Axis commander, and a real incentive for
the decosion to mount sealion.
In turn this creates a real threat, which must be addressed by the
allied player maintaining a proper garrison of the UK.
