This comes under the heading of "feature request".

We need a hot key or button that displays the combat charts at any time
during the turn. I know that during combat phase displays the current combat
chart in the upper right when you click on a defending unit - BUT there is
no way (that I know of) to display combat charts during movement phases, or
other phases to look at possible combat results when deciding where to move
units or planning future moves to optimize locations for attacks.

Also, as there are some questionable hexes on coastlines, other than playing
the game enough to have memorized each and every possible issue, is there
any way to show if an attack is possible between two hexes before you move a
unit into the hex and then discover, too late, that the little bit of land
on the hex side was just an optical illusion and it is actually a sea
hexside not allowing attack.
