Actually, the Illuminati card game "foretelling the future" reference 
is a great consim hook.

And reading the entire web site "page" (actually something like one 
40 page length "page") should prepare you nicely for any number of consims:

Fortress America
After the Holocaust
Illuminati
other suggestions?

And it will also set you up nicely for any monster game where 
persistence is needed to read the ruleset.

Pretty amazing site, actually.  Wonder what they will do come 
November when about half their text becomes obsolete and we are all 
still here playing wargames and wondering when the economy will pick up again?
