Fall brings many nice things, and one of the is the Games Plus auction
night.

Attendence was down quite a bit, usually fall is packed, but while there was
a crowd, it was less than normal. I am not sure if that is due to the
economy, or some confusion as to the date.

Another change was a lot of games were not bid on. Now, some of that is due
to bad auction placing. I always place my games at $1, hoping that bidding
will move it up. Many do not, especially this time. So a number of older
games, started at 6, 10 or even 15.

I really think they would have sold, some a lower than the start price, but
still say 60~70%. Many of these were S&T magazine games, some XTR games,
and Wargamers.

There were some high moving games. The most expensive went for $208, it was
a game from 1941!

The pieces looked like poker chips. I am truly sorry to say I can not
remember now what it was about!

Next highest went for 102, and a few in the 40s and 60s.

There were TWO sets of Dana Lombardi's early "streets of Stalingrad" game.
Apparently it was initially published in two sets one called "battle for the
factories" and the other (name forgotten) on the other end of Stalingrad.
They got decent prices.

I only bought one, Queen of the Celts. I think my lot will bring a decent
amount, but, as always, I totally mis-guessed what would go for a buck, and
what would start a bidding war!
