Currently I'm reading "On Point: The United States Army in 
Operaton Iraqi Freedom." In the chapter on the opening offensive 
(p. 108) I came across a sidebar with the  following:  

"The cause of death was a box of leaflets that fell out of a Combat 
Talon aircraft when a static line broke.  The box impacted on the 
Iraqi guard's head, and the 9th PSYOP Battalion may have 
achieved the first enemy KIA of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM."

My immediate reaction was to wish him better karma in his next 
incarnation.
