That's basically how CSW is structured right now, except that the
individual games folders
are grouped by historical period (Era) instead of by publisher.
For the popular publishers like GMT, I agree that their forums are
painful to read, because there's too much traffic and too much of it
is off-topic chatting (never mind the flames).
Magazines get their own subtree, which makes their forums fairly easy to find.

I had a peek at some of their forums. To the extent that political
leanings were on display, all I saw were right-wingers. I am intrigued
that there would be any left-wingers hanging out in such forums, can
you provide a specific example (forum name and thread subject)?

Moderation simply won't work, since what one guy regards as a witty
expression of opinion is invariably taken by another guy as a nasty
insult.

If the point of announcing such things here is to give your magazine
some publicity, then you should consider posting something to
www.boardgamegeek.com. And ask one of your subscribers to post to a
suitable forum on CSW, on your behalf, if you can't stand to use the
site yourself.
