How would you know? You said that you haven't been there in several years.

Perhaps *you* received such treatment, I can't say. Your implication that
*all* users receive such treatment at *all* times in *all* forums, however, is
simply nonsense. That chip on your shoulder is *your* chip; no need to try
and make all the rest of us carry it, too. (What was that you were saying
about "manners", again? I don't think you'll find "tar as many people with as
wide a brush as possible" in most etiquette books.)
I'm not saying that you can't have bad experiences on CSW; you certainly can,
and there are several forums there that I avoid like the plague. In addition
there are many users who have permanent residence in my "ignore" list. (As
someone who was a *very* frequent poster there I've recently cut back a great
deal simply because often it's more productive to *not* participate in the
conversations.) None of that is any different to the majority of other online
forums that I've ever encountered. You're deluding yourself if you think CSW
is remotely unique in this regard.
What CSW *is* unique in (I believe) is the enormous quantity of useful and
thoughtful posts on hundreds of different wargames (and, to a lesser extent,
non-wargames also). There's plenty of value there for those who want to make
the effort to look for it.
