Or perhaps Thomas' experiences and opinions are atypical.  Not to mention
several years out of date, by his own admission.

I've seen far worse online forums than CSW.  It's certainly not perfect, and
you can certainly run into unpleasant people; but most wargamers are by their
nature people of strong opinions, and those who actively post even more so.
It's inevitable that some sandpaper burns will result.
