Howdy Mike,
If you like Columbia's East Front, then I'd try East Front II, West Front
II, and Euro Front II.
Since you seem (at least from that single game I take it) to like
operational level WWII games, I might suggest COA's War Without End, Brute
Force, and Mediterranean Front (all from the Struggle For Europe Series).
This series has only one major MAJOR drawback. Historian/Wargamers will
find that the "generic" treatment of unit ID's in these games to be off
putting. It's rather like hoping for an advanced version of TRC and getting
Axis and Allies instead in that you will not find units identified as 1st
SS, 52nd Inf Div, etc. ... as they might have historically been named, but
the games instead sport generic infantry and armor units. For me that's a
SEVERE problem. I am a Historian/Wargamer and generic games just annoy me,
especially when you put out so much money for a game and they do not in any
way warn you that they've disassociated themselves from history in their
advertisments.
