I briefly toyed with this idea as well, then read the descriptions of 
Dauntless and very rapidly decided I wasn't interested.  A full game of CV 
looks to me like it will come in about 45 hours and adding an even more 
time-consuming combat resolution system does not appeal.  Of course you are 
welcome to try it with your group.

I have thus far mostly avoided computer wargaming, but it does seem to me that 
it would have significant advantages for things like submarine or flight 
simulators.  Is there such a thing as a computer version of Dauntless?  I'm 
thinking of a flight simulator that would let me push over and dive on the 
Akagi, a dramatic moment that would be fun on a computer I would think.

Even more generally, I'm thinking about an XBox for Christmas, are there good 
wargames for the consoles?
