[Consim-l] After Action Report - PanzerBlitz Scenario 6

Trouble was, it was a newbie with a verbal explanation of the rules.

Russians made a line advance along the road on board #3 on Turn 1.

Germans moved their few tanks and the CP from board #2 to the ridgeline hills on board #3 Turn 1 and deployed infantry platoons as blocking/spotting forces alongside the forest road.

This was the wall the Russians crashed against.

As soon as Russians moved next to the infantry platoons, they retreated a hex after spotting anything the Tanks and the CP unit on the dual hill connected by the ridgeline could see.

The Tanks/Tank Destroyers on the hills Dispersed or Destroyed anything within range. The CP called in the SPA units indirect on anything it could also spot.

Russian counterfire was ineffective due to firing uphill. Even one of the Russian assault guns was picked off because the Russian player deployed it all by itself vs. the CP unit.

Finally when the idea came to the Russian player that he could overwhelm the units on the hilltops they retreated behind the AT guns deployed in the town and hilltop on Board #2. Even the CP unit had a turn to load up and move.

By that time the Germans had destroyed about 15 Russian units compared to 3 of their own and the Russians called it quits by Turn 6.
