I think it's because if you stay on a list a long time, your
participation tends to taper off eventually.

To increase the amount of activity on CONSIM-L , there are 2 things
that I think would work:

1. Publicize the list much better. This will bring in new blood. Even
moving it off this stupid listserv and onto Yahoo groups would make it
easier to find.

2. Have some kind of regular postings to drive the discussions. AARs,
announcements of upcoming products, whatever.
